Turkey Day
Grady and Jordan jamming out to "Guitar Hero"
This is absolutely my favorite time of year-- it starts with baking Halloween cookies and trick-or-treating then on to a whole month worth of planning a Thanksgiving feast to decorating for Christmas and buying gifts for my loved ones...
This year Thanksgiving was sweet and simple. We had all the fixing's-- turkey, stuffing, broccoli cheese casserole, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. We slipped into our trytophan induced coma's until about half-time of the Cowboys game then went on to pumpkin pie and coffee. This year I was epecially thankful that Jordan (Grady's younger brother) was here and not serving another tour in Iraq. The kids really enjoy him being around!! I wish I had taken lots of pictures BUT honestly I was in the kitchen or sleeping the entire day-- it was a great!!
On Friday, we didn't wake up early and go shopping like most of the world-- we slept in... Friday night Ansley, Connor, and I decorated the house for Christmas!! Check back in a day or two I will have pictures posted AND I will introduce you to our new friend that showed up at our front door!! Hope all of you had an awesome Thanksgiving and you were surrounded by the one's you love =)
