Foto Friday!!!

Sorry no craft pics today-- I'm working on it and maybe it will be finished next Friday!

I got a good picture of Ansley and Connor TOGETHER!!! Well, good enough anyway =)

This week started out on a bad note BUT when I look at these two smiling faces I know that its all worth it!!

A Mommy Moment...

This morning was one of THOSE mornings where I got out of bed to the sound of two kids whining and I thought to myself *Thank God its Friday because its going to be one of THOSE days*. Then, after walking thru the house with that "Where do I start?" look on my face I realized, *Oh CRAP, its only Tuesday!* And in that moment I knew it was for sure going to be one of THOSE days!!

* Mothers out there I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about, right?*

Connor was in a 'whiney, "I'm not going to school", throwing a fit, hitting his sister' kind of mood. When our days start out this way at The Parr house, I close my eyes and smile because if I did what I really wanted to do (fall down on the floor and throw a fit too) I know I would look absolutely ridiculous and I might scare the kids. I decided maybe its a good thing Connor doesn't want to go to school today because we only have 10 minutes to get dressed and be there, which is next to impossible when Connor needs to lay on the floor and twitch for about 30 minutes before he starts his day...

As if our day ALREADY wasn't crazy enough, I decided we need to go to the grocery store! Everyone was dressed, diaper bag was packed, Connor was finished twitching, and out the door we went. Then, I realized MY KEYS WERE LOCKED IN MY CAR!!! Dear God, really!?!

Why is it that EVERY TIME the kids and I go to the commissary Connor pees or poops (yes, poops-- that's another story for another day) in his pants???? Seriously, it never fails BUT this time I was prepared-- we went to the potty as soon as we got there, YES, mission accomplished!!! No accident today... yet...

I was in the shoe department looking/ trying on some new shoes-- about to buy MYSELF something when Connor looks at me and says, "Mommy, I need to poop!" Seriously, SON, you've got to be kidding me... So we made our way to the bathroom for the 2nd time (hey- at least we didn't have an accident, right) *I say "we" like I'm the one having accidents too I've been a mommy way to long.* Shoe shopping will have to come another day!!

On to the grocery store, where I start to annoy myself saying, "Connor, no!", "Connor, get back here!" "Connor, we don't need cookies!", "Ansley , sit down in the seat!", "Connor, fine take the cookies!" Finally, we get back to the car and head HOME!! Both kids whine and cry for the first 15 minutes of the car ride. Then, silence!!! =)

I pull in the drive-way and look in the back-seat and see two of the most precious kids with their heads leaned on each other sleeping.

And I smile!!

So, yesterday was Connor's 5th birthday and its always been a goal of mine to bake and decorate my kids birthday cakes myself. So this year I actually gave it a shot... Not the greatest picture, sorry!! There will be more pics before we eat it... maybe!

Not too bad, huh? Well, practice makes perfect and I learned from making this cake and hope to get better and better =)

Yesterday, Ansley got her ears pierced! She did very good too. I was real nervous about taking her but she did fine... Doesn't she look soo grown up!?!

I finally got a good picture of Connor! YAY!! I still haven't managed to get a good one of them together though... Maybe one day...


So, lately I have been in a crafting mood AND this time I actually followed thru with a project and FINISHED!! I think my scrapbook picture frames turned out cute!! The one that says "grandkids" on it is for my Nanny for her birthday, shhhh, hopefully she won't read this before then AND if so... Nanny, act surprised!!

I think I may make a couple more of these frames tonight...

A Trip Down Memory Lane...

Connor Bruce is 5 years old today!! It is soo hard to believe that my baby boy is getting so big. I remember when he was Ansley's age! It breaks my heart but at the same time I am so proud of the little man Connor has become.

Isn't it amazing how fast they grow!?! One day they are learning to crawl and the next...

Easter Sunday

We had a small get together at the Parr House on Sunday. The kids hunted eggs and played outside till they could no longer hold their eyes open, the dad's cooked steaks on the grill (yummy, I was in need of a steak that day), and the mom's hid eggs and stayed inside and played with the little ones...

**My whole family was in bed sound asleep by 8pm on Sunday; which made a nice relaxing night for me to catch up on MY t.v. shows (my highlight of the day)**

I really wish I would have got a better picture of Connor but his "statue" pose was all he was will to give me.

Ansley on the other had is my little one who poses for the camera (or maybe its that she can't tell me "no" yet and doesn't have a choice).

I could just kick myself for not getting a picture of them together all dressed up BUT I wasn't in the mood for that fit to be had!! We had fun, they had fun and that's all that really matters!! Hope your Easter 2010 was a great one... God Bless!!
